Financial Definitions - Authentication

Authentication within the financing world usually means the identification (or ID) of a bond certificate. Basically, when a bond certificate is issued it has to be validated. An authorized public official (or personnel of a designated official) must legally verify the bond as a genuine document with an official stamp and/or seal.
