Retirement - Self Employment In Retirement

I want to state again the importance of using a self-employment model for your retirement work. If you can run a small business that is related to one of your passions or hobbies, you may be able write off a lot of your costs when doing your hobbies. For example, if you were passionate about hiking or outdoor living, you could sell hiking equipment on Ebay or to your local hiking buddies. You could have a web site or blog that chronicles your hiking adventures - either way, then all your expenses from your personal hiking activities can be rightfully written off as research and development of your business. Example: if you use pictures on your website, you are entitled to write-off all expenses during your expeditions so you can take pictures that you own the copyright on. This alone can justify your travel expenses during a hiking trip.
