Our family is guilty of keeping an extra automobile insured and plated and we rarely use it. When we do use the extra vehicle it really saves the day, but we COULD have made it by without it. Basically, it’s just handy and not necessary. I still look at the extra vehicle like flushing cash down the toilet, and it’s something I always say I’m going to change. By the time you add up the oil changes, the fuel, parts, repairs, and insurance, it’s complete waste of money.
